Kyle has been badly injured as the result of getting
mixed up in a dodgy poker game, and his loved ones rally around as his
life hangs in the balance.
Phoebe and Ricky are left horrified
when the doctor informs them that Kyle could have brain damage as a
result of his beating, but his condition soon improves much to all of
their relief.

Although Kyle is desperate to go home and get on with his life, it soon
becomes clear that there is something else going on when he later
collapses on the kitchen floor.
After being rushed back into
hospital, Kyle is diagnosed with septicaemia and Nate is left to explain
to Ricky that he is very unwell. Will Kyle pull through?
