Viewers have seen sparks fly between Shabnam
and Kush ever since he arrived in Walford last year.
When
Masood returns from visiting family in Birmingham next week, he
immediately apologises to Shabnam for his behaviour over Dhaadi's
inheritance.
However, a distracted Shabnam has bigger concerns than reconciling with her father, having revealed a dark secret of hers to Stacey.

As the day of the Walford half marathon arrives, Masood, Shabnam and
Kush all line up to begin the race. With Shabnam hiding her running
talent from Kush, and Masood desperate to prove himself, the day has
some surprising outcomes.
Shabnam is particularly touched when
Kush is on hand to give Masood a piggyback over the line when it seems
that Masood might not finish.

Proud of her father's efforts, Shabnam tells Masood that the
inheritance money is his. However, when Masood later notices that the
Argee Bhajee is up for lease, he comes up with an idea.
Later,
following an eventful week and some encouragement from Stacey, Shabnam
finally decides to make a go of it with Kush and after admitting her
feelings, the pair share a passionate kiss.
