Kim Fox struggles to remain hopeful over her newborn baby Pearl on EastEnders next week.

The BBC soap's hour-long 30th anniversary special saw Kim go into labour two months early, giving birth to a baby daughter in the ladies' toilets at the Queen Vic.

As next week's episodes begin, Kim is still upset with her sister Denise following their recent row and orders her to stay away, but Denise knows Kim needs her and won't be deterred so easily.

Arriving at the hospital, Denise finds that Kim is too frightened to visit baby Pearl. She then proves to be a huge source of support to her sibling, offering to go with her so they can both see the new arrival together.

While this is a step forward for Kim, she starts to question whether her situation is a punishment from God and decides to have Pearl christened as soon as possible.

After the christening has taken place, Denise starts asking Kim questions about Pearl's father. Kim claims that the man she has been speaking about doesn't really exist, she made him up to impress Denise and the baby's real dad is actually a one-night stand. But with Kim still hiding secrets, how honest is she really being?
