New behind-the-scenes Emmerdale pictures have been released showing filming of the moment that Andy Sugden contemplates suicide.

Andy has been left grief-stricken following the tragic death of his wife Katie and he is currently unaware of the real circumstances surrounding her untimely demise.

Episodes airing this week will see Andy attend Katie's funeral, despite initially threatening not to go.

Andy's decision to attend after all is seen as a positive step, but his family are unaware that he has already made the devastating and unnecessary decision to end his own life.

Once the funeral is over, Andy decides to put his plan into motion and drives off to the local steep quarry.

At his lowest point and unable to see that he still has so much left to live for, Andy is ready to end it all as he moves dangerously close to the precipice. Will he go through with it?
