Connie
and her colleagues are left stunned as the police arrive at the
hospital and force her to come down to the station for some tough
questioning.
The shock moment comes after Connie's friend Alfred
Maxwell, who has motor neurone disease, is brought back into the ED with
pneumonia and subsequently passes away.
Most of the team have
sympathy for Connie as they know about her close bond with Alfred, but
Rita Freeman can't help feeling suspicious as she knows
that Connie ordered for Alfred's bloods to be binned shortly before his
death.

Rita becomes suspicious |
When Rita investigates further, she discovers that Connie had been with
Alfred the night before and further tests reveal that a surprising drug
was in his system.
Rita starts to suspect that this is a case of
euthanasia, but when the police do arrive, was she the one who made the
call to report it? And has Connie really followed through with Alfred's
request to help him die?
