EastEnders, Shirley Carter discovers that Dean has a secret child.

Shirley Carter sets out to track down her granddaughter.

The youngster was abandoned on a doorstep by her mum Shabnam Masood shortly after she was born.

It was revealed that  Dean Wicks was the baby’s father. The pair had a one night stand in a nightclub which he was too drunk to remember. And he gets his mum Shirley to track down his little girl after Shabnam lets her secret out.

Shirley, is pictured barging through the home of the girl she thinks is her granddaughter. She is then thrown out by the girl’s foster dad after a heated row.

Shirley is not the only one who is desperately ­searching for the young girl. Shabnam’s father Masood Ahmed is also seen outside the house with his close friend Jane Beale.

Soap bosses have not revealed how it will play out, but both the Carters and Masoods are determined to bring the girl home to Albert Square, and it does not look like they will be pulling together any time soon.

An EastEnders source said: “This was always going to kick off when it all came out. The baby made the news after being abandoned by its mother. It’s a shocking story on so many levels. That baby is half Masood and half Carter. Shabnam has kept her secret all these years but something is going to happen that makes her break down and confess. The baby bombshell is going to send shockwaves around Albert Square and there are two very different families at the centre of all the drama.”

The scenes will air next month.
