Coronation Street, Things are going from bad to worse for Leanne Battersby as she is held hostage and beaten by a violent ex-client.

Leanne’s past as a prostitute will come back to haunt her when she runs into Dan Jones, who used to leave her battered and bruised, after he starts dating Rovers landlady Liz McDonald.

Leanne’s nightmare starts when Dan continues on his mission of romancing Liz following her bitter split from Tony, who viewers know was having an affair with Tracy Barlow.

Leanne will tell Liz all about Dan’s violent past

Leanne instantly recognises him when she sees the pair all over each other in the pub but before she can warn Liz off him, he’s spotted Leanne and threatens her that he’ll tell Simon all about her past as a prostitute if she says anything to Liz.

However, Leanne soon finds an opportunity to pull Liz aside and tell her all about her new man’s dark past of beating her and Liz instantly shows him the door.

But Dan doesn’t take too kindly to being ditched and heads to Leanne’s flat where he holds her hostage and violently beats her black and blue while a terrified Simon is also at risk.

Will anyone ride to Leanne’s rescue? Will she break free before it’s too late? Will Simon find out about his step mum’s past?
