A big week for Dean will see him learn that the baby Shabnam Masood gave birth to years ago
didn't actually die and that his family know where she is.
Although
Dean is keen to track his daughter down, his mother Shirley is strongly against the idea and lies to Dean that there is no
way to contact her.

However, Dean is unaware that Shirley has actually gone to see Jade herself and has her reasons for lying about her whereabouts.
When
Buster confronts Shirley about her behaviour, he is
shocked to learn that she did meet Dean's daughter. With emotions
running high, Shirley comes clean about her fears, prompting Buster to
take surprising action.

Later, Dean overhears Shirley and Buster's conversation and angrily confronts the pair about what they are hiding from him.
Fuming,
Dean gives Shirley some home truths about her parenting and heads to
Blades, where he finally snaps before breaking down in Buster's arms.

Meanwhile, Shirley starts to have second thoughts about not helping Dean
and after reminiscing about the past with Denise, she makes a big
decision.
After heading off to get some cash, Shirley arrives at
Blades where she tells Dean that she will stand by him if he wants to
meet his daughter.
However, when the pair arrive at the address,
Shirley asks Jade's foster father for a DNA test so they can prove Dean
is actually her father. Will he agree?
