Tony made a hasty exit from the cobbles after Tracy Barlow exposed their secret affair and scheming.
As
Tony braces himself to face the music upon his return home, he quickly
realises that it is going to be a much tougher challenge than he
anticipated.

The first person to give Tony a few home truths is his son Jason, who is furious with him for leaving without a word.
Tony
is shocked by Jason's anger as he berates him for disappearing, and his
ego later suffers a further blow when he hears that Liz has a new man.
Tony's
return goes from bad to worse as a furious Jason insists to Tony that
he is better off without him in his life and orders him to clear off for
good.
Later, Tony heads over to The Rovers where he begs Liz
for forgiveness and insists that he never stopped loving her. Will Liz
be able to forgive him?
