Hollyoaks - Maxine Minniver will be left with a big decision to make when she discovers that her estranged husband Patrick Blake has Motor Neurone Disease.

Patrick was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year, but has been desperate to keep the secret from Maxine to avoid threatening his chances of getting custody of their daughter Minnie.

It's an emotional day for Maxine, who finds out that Patrick has had to rush their young daughter Minnie to hospital after she falls ill with a temperature.

When Lindsey informs a devastated Maxine, she immediately goes to the hospital and ends up causing a scene.

Maxine is left further heartbroken when Minnie doesn't appear to recognise her, prompting Maxine to later contemplate moving away from the village with Darren.

However, when an unwell Patrick later collapses while at home with Minnie, Maxine grows concerned when she hears her daughter crying through the window.

After looking through the letterbox, Maxine is shocked to see Patrick on the floor and soon enters his house. Patrick's secret is exposed once and for all when Maxine finds leaflets about his Motor Neurone Disease.

Shocked by the discovery, Maxine immediately takes Minnie straight to social services, but will she use her knowledge to try and win her daughter back?
