Darren Osborne and Theresa McQueen will become increasingly jealous of
the amount of time the pair are spending together and tension rises as
the two couples are forced to have dinner together.
With his
concerns rising, Darren shrugs off Patrick's attempts to make peace and
refuses to shake his hand, but as Patrick's condition takes hold, he
ends up falling over.

Maxine later becomes worried about Patrick when Theresa tells her that he ended up in hospital following Darren's 'attack'.
At
the hospital, Dr S'Avage tells Patrick that his condition has
progressed and Theresa urges him to start taking the recommended
medication.
Wanting to support Patrick following the distressing news, Maxine takes him to meet Ailsa, who is also living with MND.
Both
Patrick and Maxine are inspired by Alisa's love of life as they get to
know her, and Patrick decides to pursue Maxine following the meeting.
However, Patrick's rekindled friendship with Maxine infuriates Theresa, who later lashes out by throwing a smoothie over him...
