Peri discovered that she was pregnant earlier this year, but has since become determined to give the baby away.
Despite
reservations from her boyfriend Tom Cunningham, the youngsters will
start to unite in the idea when they meet up with Angela and Mark Brown, a couple who are desperate to adopt a child and start a family.

However, as Peri and Tom soften whilst listening to Angela and Mark's
story, Frankie will storm in and put a dampener on the mood.
As
the Browns leave, Peri and Tom are furious with Frankie's interference,
but Peri is left further stunned when Frankie later offers to pay her
for the baby.
After Peri decides to refuse Frankie's cheque,
Leela later confronts Frankie over her actions, while a loyal Tom sides
with Peri.

Knowing she needs to put things right, Frankie brings the Browns back to
the village and after a meeting, Peri and Tom accept their offer to be
their baby's adoptive parents.
Although everyone seems relieved
that a decision has finally been made, Tom's true feelings later become
clear when he fights back tears whilst looking at a photo of the baby
scan. Will he be able to confide in Peri over his feelings?
