Doctors - Valerie Pitman will break down after receiving a worrying diagnosis.

Valerie will be told that she has cancer, but she initially decides to keep the news to herself as she fears that she'll lose her job at The Mill since she's only on a temporary contract.

She will only confide in Karen Hollins about what's going on, but she later changes her mind when she hears that her job is under threat anyway.

When Daniel Granger declares that Valerie may need to go due to budget issues at The Mill, Valerie crumbles and tells everyone about her illness. As Valerie then locks herself in the toilet, talk at the practice turns to how Al Haskey didn't spot the signs when he previously examined her.

Al admits that he'd already diagnosed Valerie with hypochondria but Daniel is furious with him for not uncovering the truth. Has Al messed up by missing vital clues?
