Having been wrongly accused of trying to kill
his former lover, Aaron has to make a plea ahead of his
upcoming trial.
Adam Barton and Andy Sugden
infuriate Victoria when they both decide to attend in support of Aaron,
with Andy more aware than anyone that the authorities have the wrong
man.
Robert also puts in an appearance as he
is determined to keep a close eye on proceedings, convinced that he'll
be able to tell whether Aaron was the shooter when he makes his plea.
When
it comes to the crunch, Aaron naturally pleads 'not guilty' but things
aren't looking good for him when he is immediately refused bail.
Still
unsure of what really happened, Robert has a furious outburst in court
by goading Aaron to tell the truth. However, when Aaron fires back by
declaring that Robert should have done everyone a favour and stayed
dead, has he just made life a whole lot worse for himself?
Ryan Hawley, who plays Robert, revealed:
"Robert just wants a definite answer. Aaron is implicated in the case,
but it doesn't necessarily mean that he is the shooter. Cain and Andy
have both visited Robert in hospital and made him doubt that it was
Aaron. Robert thinks that when he sees
Aaron in court, he'll know for sure. He goes there to look Aaron in the
eye and to see what he pleads. When Aaron
pleads 'not guilty', it's quite frustrating for Robert because he
thought he was going to get a definitive answer but he doesn't. For all
he knows, Aaron could just be protesting that he's innocent."
Hawley continued: "Robert goads Aaron into
telling the truth and that doesn't work out well, because Aaron reacts
badly and it causes a bit of a fuss in court. Robert leaves the
courtroom thinking that it could be someone else, but it's very
frustrating because he just wants to know who it was."
But
with the tension and suspicion at an all-time high, how does Robert
really feel about Aaron at the moment? Could there still be love there?
