Sam tries desperately to protect his close friend Megan from Jai’s
wrath. As Megan is already panicking that her pregnancy secret will be
discovered by Jai, she makes plans to get out of the village.
With Jai seemingly distracted in ruining things for Nikhil, she hopes
she has fallen under his radar, even when Brenda accidentally
discovers her baby news.
But when Jai uses Nikhil and Megan’s apparent closeness to drive a wedge
between Nikhil and Tanya, Megan knows that she needs to be away from
him sooner rather than later.
Asking Leyla to buy her out of the business, Megan is thrilled when
Nikhil offers to lend the money and gratefully hugs him. When Sam then
walks in and misinterprets what is going on, he storms off to the pub
where he sullenly tells Jai what he saw.
Later, Jai confronts Sam after learning of Megan’s pregnancy and pushes
him inside roughly. With Jai figuring out that the baby is his, Sam then
lets slip that Megan plans to leave and the men end up in a heated
scrap when Sam tries to stop Jai going after her.
As Jai pins Sam down and continues a vicious attack, Sam grabs a
doorstop and clobbers Jai over the head. Jai slumps to the ground,
motionless and Sam fears that he may have killed him.
Nabbing Jai’s phone, he takes the businessman to a container in the
middle of a field where he binds him up, not unlike what Jai once put
Charity through.
As Jai warns him that he will pay for what he has done, Sam lies that Megan has already left.
With an escape route finally open to Megan, she says her goodbyes, but don’t expect the drama to end there.
