A source said: ''The show has researched this issue extensively and, whilst Izzy will take cannabis to try and alleviate her pain, the programme will look at all aspects of this debate and examine the legal implications and the far reaching consequences of her actions for her family. Izzy wouldn't have turned to drugs if she wasn't in a lot more pain, it is a last resort. This is a big new storyline and Cherylee is excited by the new twist for her character. She has begun work on the scenes and they are expected to go out in February.''
