Ellie is partying with friends in Brighton when she meets Freddie, who is now in witness protection.

Freddie introduces himself to Ellie as 'Mark', but his night of fun may be interrupted with DS Thorpe watching his every move.

It's Thorpe who was responsible for putting Freddie in witness protection, believing that he could be crucial in nailing the Gloved Hand Killer. But does Freddie remember Lindsey's attack on him, or does he think Trevor Royle was to blame like everyone else?

And could Ellie find herself in Lindsey's sinister sights if she finds out about her New Year flirtation with Freddie?
