The BBC soap's dramatic 30th anniversary week saw Nick's long-suffering
mother Dot (June Brown) hand herself into the police following his
demise, admitting that she let him die.
As next week's episodes begin, Nick's body is finally taken away from Number 23 while a traumatised Dot remains in prison.

and Carol both frustrated over how things have turned
out, they head off to the police station to give truthful statements.
Unfortunately
for Charlie, there is a nasty surprise waiting for him at the station
when Keeble decides to arrest him.

This isn't the only setback for Dot's loved ones, as they are later
stunned to learn that she has already been to the magistrates court and
refused bail.
Now that two of the Cottons are facing serious
legal trouble, it's clear that life for the family won't be getting back
to normal anytime soon...
