Finn O'Connor's return to screens on Hollyoaks looks set to have a big impact on John Paul, Ste and Sinead.

Keith Rice has reprised the role of Finn for a couple of episodes, which will ultimately bring closure to John Paul following his rape ordeal.

Scenes airing later this month see John Paul find himself back in Patrick Blake's good books by intervening when Peri Lomax tries to hijack a fire truck, which has been brought to Hollyoaks High for careers day.

In a rebellious outburst, Peri locks herself in the truck and threatens to drive it into the school, until John Paul stands in front of the vehicle and talks her round.

John Paul is delighted when Patrick offers to speak to the school governors so that he can be reinstated as a teacher, but his happy day soon takes a turn for the worse when Finn calls him from prison.

Finn has a new perspective on his crimes
With a new perspective on his crimes following his time behind bars, Finn wants to see John Paul and also sends a visiting order in the hope that he'll be willing to see him.

John Paul's initial reaction is to offer Trevor Royle a substantial sum of money to help get rid of Finn once and for all, but whether Trevor will be interested remains to be seen.

A rattled John Paul is also stunned further when he learns that Sinead has been paying secret visits of her own to Finn.

Souring the mood after Sinead has been for a baby scan with Ste, John Paul demands that Ste proves his loyalty by choosing between them…
