After weeks of flirting, Nate is pleased when Kat finally agrees to go on a date with him.
Despite
the date getting off to an awkward start when Kat quizzes Nate about
his history with Ricky Sharpe, they soon find themselves heading back to
Nate's place.
Once at home, things escalate quickly and they
soon head to the bedroom, but Nate is shocked by Kat's attitude the
following day.

Having spent the night with Kat, Nate becomes concerned that she has simply used him and soon confronts her about it.
Although
Kat is quick to confirm that she is interested in him, she is adamant
that they keep their fling a secret from the rest of the Summer Bay
residents.
However, when Irene, Chris and Marilyn all start
speculating over the new romance, Kat finds herself unable to cope with
the pressure.
Worried that she won't be able to do her job
without the respect from the locals, Kat breaks it off with Nate. Will
he be able to change her mind?
