When
Ben sees Xanthe clashing with Angus, he urges her to go easy on him
because he'll soon have to deal with the devastating news that his mum
is dying.
Xanthe feels terrible and goes
overboard being nice to Angus, but when he questions the sudden change
in her behaviour, she decides to come clean about how Sarah is unwell.

distraught Angus immediately confronts Susan and demands answers,
seeing the situation as yet another rejection from a loved one.
