Coronation Street, Dev Alahan will return to Weatherfield next week, but it soon becomes clear that he has something on his mind.

Although both Julie Carp and Mary Taylor are looking forward to welcoming Dev home from India, they are also nervous about how he will react to the news of the fire.

However, when Dev does finally arrive home, Julie soon becomes concerned by his very distant behaviour.

Later, Mary is intrigued when she takes a call on Dev's mobile from a woman named Talisa, although Dev is quick to assure her they're just friends who met during the charity project.

However, it becomes increasingly evident that all is not as it seems when Dev learns that Eileen and Adrian are dining at the Bistro and eagerly suggests they make a foursome, keen to avoid being alone with Julie.

Finally realising he needs to be honest with Julie, Dev later invites her to the Bistro to discuss their future. Julie is overjoyed as she believes that Dev is going to propose, but Mary is quietly sceptical, still concerned over his strange behaviour since returning to Weatherfield.

When Julie does arrive for the chat, she is so consumed by Eileen's devastation in the wake of the revelation that Todd had set her up, that Dev is forced to leave the conversation until another time. Is Julie about to be left heartbroken?
