Val offers her support to her ex Trevor Royle following
Esther Bloom's decision to keep the baby she was carrying for him and
Grace Black.
However, one person who may not be so happy to see
Val is Grace, who quickly gets jealous over her presence
in the village.

Dylan is continuing to hide his cross-dressing secret from Trevor at the
point where Valerie visits, but he also chooses to keep his mum in the
dark.
James Fletcher, who plays Dylan, told All About Soap:
"Dylan wearing women's clothing doesn't come up with her. I think one
of the reasons for his cross-dressing is the lack of a female role model
in his life. And as soon as his mum's gone, it's back. It was nice to play Dylan having a family. They're dysfunctional, but it was great to explore more of his world."
