Viewers saw Ian Beale angrily throw Cindy
out of his house earlier this month and Liam Butcher has since informed them that she is staying with a friend in Devon.
As Bobby gives Ian a sentimental gift on Father's Day, the moment is
interrupted when Carol arrives at the Beales' with Cindy in tow and
reveals the truth about her whereabouts.
However,
an angry Ian refuses to allow her back in the house, unable to forgive
her for her actions leading up to Beth's departure.
With Ian adamant that Cindy should stay away, Jane (Laurie Brett) is forced to turn to Carol for help keeping Cindy in Walford.
Jane pleads with Carol to let Cindy stay at the Butchers', explaining that she can't bear to lose another daughter.

Later, Jane arranges to have Cindy over for dinner but is left disappointed when she refuses to come.
Meanwhile,
Liam starts to grow suspicious when he sees Cindy wearing a new dress
and later reveals his fears about where it came from during a
conversation with Carol.
After Liam quizzes her, a guilty Carol
decides to come clean with her grandson and explains that Jane is paying
them money to look after Cindy.
A concerned Liam does not take
the news well and worries about how Cindy would react if she knew they
weren't being honest with her. Will Liam decide to come clean?
