Adele is joining the soap for a guest stint as Angela Brown, who will plan to adopt Peri's child.
Angela and her husband Mark Brown are a childless couple who are
desperate to start a family.
The role of Mark will be played by CBeebies star Ben Faulks confirmed to take on the part.
Faulks is best known for his starring role in Mr Bloom's Nursery on the children's channel.
Over the next few weeks, Hollyoaks fans will see that Peri is
still determined to give her baby away after the birth, even though her
boyfriend Tom Cunningham is still against the idea of adoption.
With
Tom being supported by his family who start to interfere in the
situation, the big question is whether the Browns will get their much
longed-for baby and how Tom will cope if he does have to hand his child
over.
Speaking of her casting, Silva said:
"I'm over the moon to be joining the show as Angela - I've watched it
from the beginning so I feel like I know everyone already. I must
remember not to call them by character names!"
Faulks added: "I'm extremely chuffed to be joining the Hollyoaks team and looking forward to the time ahead in Liverpool."
Faulks and Hollyoaks have been keen to work together for a while, but needed to find the right role which would fit alongside his CBeebies persona.

an emotive storyline and we are delighted to have Ben and Adele on
board."
