Phoebe has been in a critical condition after being shot by Joe Roscoe, and
her loved ones will be left with a big decision to make when they are
told that she could undergo potentially life-threatening brain surgery.
The news paves the way for the return of Robbie Roscoe, who has been serving time in prison for viciously beating up
Dirk Savage earlier this year.
John
Paul and Mercedes are the first to learn of Phoebe's worsening
condition when they visit her in hospital, only to be informed by
Lindsey Butterfield that her health is deteriorating.
Although
Lindsey instructs John Paul not to tell Robbie about Phoebe, he goes
against her advice and calls the prison, believing that Robbie could be
the one to get through to unconscious Phoebe.
While Mercedes and
Lindsey row over Phoebe, John Paul breaks the bad news to Robbie and
urges him to record a message for Phoebe, thinking it will help her
regain consciousness.
Later, Dr S'avage tells the McQueens that Phoebe can have brain surgery,
but he adds that it is a risky procedure. However, Mercedes is furious
with Lindsey when she attempts to stop the family agreeing to the
operation.
While the McQueens decide that Phoebe should have the
surgery, Robbie is released from prison and heads straight over to see
her.
Arriving at the hospital, Robbie locks the door to Phoebe
and won't let the medical staff in to operate on her, as he is scared
that she will die in theatre. Will anyone be able to get through to him
before it's too late?
