When Ian eventually finds Dot hiding in the launderette, the pair have a
heart-to-heart over everything that has happened over the last year.
However,
when Dot admits she wishes she had turned Nick into the police for his
own benefit, Ian soon begins to have doubts about his own decisions
regarding Bobby.
Later, Dot is relieved that her Parole Officer
is satisfied with her situation but asks her friends and family to give
her some peace.

As Dot sits with Jim's urn and shares some emotional words, a police
officer arrives with Cora who barges in and quickly makes herself at
home.
Although Cora initially rejects Dot's help, Dot later
decides to follow her and learns she's been living in Patrick's shed.
Worried, Dot comes up with a plan to help Cora, but will she be able to
get through to her?
