Emmerdale - Kirin Kotecha will face a difficult decision when he's asked to take the fall for Jai Sharma's latest drugs shame.

Kirin will be shocked when Jai begs him for help, hoping to stay out of serious trouble with the police.

Jai receives a caution for substance abuse after the police find out that he has snorted cocaine.

Jai's secret comes to light after he suffers frightening symptoms following a drugs binge and requires emergency medical attention.

Rather than accepting the caution as a warning, Jai continues down his destructive path and later gets into his car while in a drugged-up state.

When Jai's sister Priya sees what he's up to, she decides that Jai needs a serious wake-up call and phones the police to report her brother.

When the police pull his vehicle over, Jai is terrified as he has a bag of cocaine on him. Seeing an escape, he offers Kirin money to take the blame - but will this proposal be tempting enough?

Adam Fielding, who plays Kirin, teased: "The money isn't really tempting for Kirin. His reaction is, 'Come on Jai, you can't be for real. You're going to ask me to put my life and career in jeopardy just for a bit of cash? But Kirin gets into a position where he realises that he's invested a lot in his business and he sees a potential for it to grow even further. I think initially he's very motivated to do the right thing, but as things progress, it could quickly escalate."

The Sharmas are reaching the end of their patience over Jai's behaviour either way.

Jai's father Rishi will advise him to step down from the family company to avoid bringing it into further disrepute, but will Jai really go quietly?
