Emmerdale - Sandy Thomas's future is called into question after his son Ashley starts to worry that he can no longer look after himself.

Ashley and Harriet Finch discover that Sandy has been stuck in the Woolpack bathroom for half an hour because he was too stubborn to ask for help.

The incident prompts Harriet to suggest to Ashley that Sandy should move in with them, but Ashley is nervous about trying to convince his father that it would be the best place for him.

As expected, Sandy's pride immediately takes over. After finally being honest with Ashley, he later puts his son in an upsetting predicament when he makes a big request.

With Harriet unaware of what Sandy requested, she is taken aback by Ashley's vehemence when he calls his father a 'selfish old git'.

Later, Harriet is shocked to learn of Sandy's right to die plea and convinces Ashley to have another word with him. What does the future hold for Sandy?
