EastEnders - Charlie Slater's final moments on Albert Square.

Charlie returns to Walford to spend some quality time with his family unaware that it'll turn out to be his final visit.

Kat is delighted when Charlie and Mo arrive on the Square together, but she's soon distracted when Sister Ruth also comes to see her.

Wanting Kat to know the truth about her past, Sister Ruth finally drops the bombshell that she has a long-lost son out there somewhere. She also reveals that another family member has known the truth all along.

Once Sister Ruth has gone, Kat angrily demands the truth from her family and is horrified to realise that Mo was the individual who knew everything.

Charlie had no idea, but as tensions run high and Kat furiously confronts Mo, he struggles to cope with the pressure of the difficult situation and suffers a sudden heart attack.

As a seriously-ill Charlie lies on the sofa, Kat takes control and waits for the ambulance to arrive. Charlie tries to talk to Kat and begs for her forgiveness over the family's past mistakes, but it all becomes too much and she goes to wait outside for the ambulance instead.

Once the paramedics arrive, they break the tragic news that there's nothing they can do as Charlie has died, but did Kat get a chance to say a final farewell to her dad before he slipped away?
