As it's the first time she's been around for Ben's birthday in years, Kathy makes the effort for her son by handing over some special presents. However, things quickly go downhill when Phil arrives at the pub in a drunken state and causes a scene.
After shunning his out-of-control dad, Ben turns back to his on-off lover Paul Coker for comfort by confiding in him about the pressure he's facing. Ben then goes a step further by trying to kiss Paul, who pulls away as he doesn't want to betray Abi.
Weighed down by his own issues, Ben has no idea
that Abi is dealing with huge problems of her own as she struggles to
keep up the pretence that she's expecting.
Abi
panic escalates when Ben suggests they should book in for the baby's
scan. Growing emotional and worried, Abi seeks further advice from Babe
Smith - who knows they need to think of an idea fast to stop the truth
from coming out. But what will Babe have up her sleeve this time?
