When Ronnie
finds Phil destroying the kitchen, she is furious and gives him a
reality check. However, she is left stunned when he breaks down and
admits that he doesn't want to die.
Ronnie hands Phil a support group leaflet for alcoholics, and Ben and Jay are later surprised to see him heading off to be there, determined to change for the better.
However, Phil's good intentions soon deteriorate when he arrives at the session and bumps into a face from the past, who he quickly learns is his counsellor.
Unable
to face the group knowing who the counsellor is, Phil soon leaves but
is greeted by a furious Ben back in the Square, who calls him pathetic
for bailing on the group.
Giving up, Phil heads to The Vic and starts to drink and things quickly spiral out of control when he brings up unwell baby Ollie
to Mick, prompting the landlord to lose his temper.
