Alfie confide in his girlfriend
Jade Albright about his cancer possibly being back, but Jack Osborne and Rachel Hardy also find out when they overhear them talking.
A
shocked Rachel immediately urges Alfie to be honest
with the rest of the Nightingales too, but he's reluctant to open up as
he doesn't want to stand in the way of Nathan's plans to go travelling
with his partner.
Alfie's insistence on secrecy leaves Rachel in
an impossible position, but she ultimately agrees to join him when he
goes off to get his biopsy results at the hospital.
When
doctors confirm that Alfie's Hodgkins Lymphoma has returned, he refuses
to change his stance and makes Rachel promise not to tell anyone until
she and Nathan have gone travelling.
Alfie
then turns to Jade for further support, knowing that she's the one
person who can relate to exactly what he's going through at the moment.
However, when Cindy overhears them talking and uncovers her son's
secret, will she keep quiet and will she want to support him through
this?
