Coronation Street - Maria Connor has a surprise in store when she makes her return to the cobbles.

Maria has been away in Cyprus over the past few months, but what she's been up to while she's been there will surprise everyone.

It's initially a happy reunion for Maria and her loved ones, but things take a turn when a guy called Pablo joins her on the Street.

Maria isn't pleased to see that Pablo has followed her back from Cyprus and she reluctantly agrees to meet up with him the next day so they can talk properly.

After telling her boyfriend Luke Britton that she's heading out to meet 'an old school friend', Maria goes off to see Pablo as planned.

Unfortunately for Maria, she's quickly caught out when Luke follows her to the restaurant, forcing her to admit that she has married Pablo as a favour.

Explaining the whole story, Maria reveals that Pablo's parents don't know he's gay and she tied the knot with him so he can be with his British boyfriend.

Luke is shell-shocked by Maria's confession and is unable to support her decision as she desperately tries to justify herself. Could this be the end of the road for Luke and Maria?
