Steve has agreed to make Michelle happy by trying for a baby, desperately hoping that she doesn't find out he's already expecting one with Leanne Battersby.
Wondering
what on earth he's let himself in for, Steve confides in his friend Tim
Metcalfe by explaining that Michelle wants to start a
family but he isn't keen.
Always
happy to help in his own unique style, Tim gives Steve some tips on how
to reduce his fertility. However, Steve's mum Liz suggests a much more
direct approach by urging him to just be honest with Michelle.
When
Michelle returns home from a trip away in Ireland, Steve decides to
take Liz's advice by telling her that he doesn't want a child.
Steve's
words leave Michelle devastated as she's just taken a pregnancy test
which revealed that she's already expecting. As Steve reels from the
news, will he be forced to backtrack?
