Neighbours' Brad Willis will make a mistake that has huge repercussions for doctor Karl Kennedy later this month.

Disaster strikes after Terese and Brad find themselves rekindling their relationship following the difficulty they have faced recently.

Terese is supportive of Brad's newfound motivation to get back into making surfboards, and is so impressed by what she sees when visiting him in the Men's Shed that the pair find themselves having a spontaneous moment of passion.

However, their romantic encounter is cut short when Brad accidentally spills one of the toxic chemicals used to make the boards. Although he manages to clean up the mess, his temporary solution is to store the offending chemical in an empty water bottle.

Later on, Karl drops by and places his water bottle next to the contaminated one, but unknowingly picks up the wrong bottle when he leaves. When Brad realises the potentially dangerous mix-up, he urgently tries to track Karl down, but to no avail.

Karl collapses in pain.
Meanwhile, having consumed the poisonous drink, Karl struggles to breathe, but is found by Josh and rushed to hospital, where the staff diagnose a burned oesophagus. Susan is particularly traumatised by the experience and takes her anger out on an already-guilty Brad.

Following the encounter, Terese does her best to reassure her husband, but when Susan reiterates her anger towards Brad, it is clear that his mistake has had serious consequences. Will Susan ever forgive Brad?

Karl needs urgent help.
Josh rushes to Karl's aid.
