Simone, who will be played by actress Jacqueline Boatswain, will immediately make her presence felt upon her arrival.
Simone's
first scenes will include her meeting Cindy and
introducing herself as the new manager of Price Slice.
However, an irritated Cindy doesn't take kindly to the newcomer's announcement as she worries about her future at the shop.

Executive producer Bryan Kirkwood first announced his plans to introduce
a new family last year, promising that they would bring a "domestic
family warmth".
He said at the time: "We are at the early stages
of a new family but they won't be on the screen until 2015. They are
called the Lovedays and they will bring domestic family warmth, which is
an ingredient we have been short on lately.
"They will run a
business slap bang in the middle of the village. We have found some
wonderful charming actors and I am very excited."
