There’s a whole new family joining the cast of Hollyoaks and they’re going to kick up a fuss something rotten.

The Lovedays are a close-knit trio looking for a fresh start and they’ll be appearing on-screen later this month.

Zack, Simone and Louis Loveday
Jacqueline Boatswain plays ‘formidable’ mum Simone, who will take over the running of Price Slice.

Karl Collins will play Louis, the new deputy head at Hollyoaks High working alongside the delectable Patrick Blake.

Duayne Boachie will play promising footballer Zack, who will enrol as a student at the school.

Botswain says they’re more than ready to get stuck in.

She said: ‘I am looking forward to everyone meeting Simone. She’s a ‘no-messing’ mum and without doubt the head of the family who are coming to Hollyoaks for a fresh start. The Lovedays are a very happy strong family unit and that has seen them through the challenges that life has thrown at them.’

And although Collins is delighted to be joining the cast he’s sad to be missing out on a few of the perks…

He said: ‘I am really thrilled to be joining the cast of  Hollyoaks battling Jacqueline to be the head of the household in a new positive black family in Hollyoaks. I am just sad that there is no longer a Hollyoaks calendar for me to star in as the latest hunk!’

Boatswain's previous credits include Grange Hill, Shameless and Wolfblood.

Collins previously played the regular role of DC Danny Glaze on The Bill and has also appeared in a number of other shows including Our Zoo, Doctor Who, The Driver, Casualty and Holby City.

Boachie has appeared in sitcom All About The McKenzies and has also had a feature film role in A Hundred Streets alongside Idris Elba and Gemma Arterton.
