EastEnders, Dot Branning will anxiously await her fate next week as the jury reach a verdict on her trial.

Dot is being trialled for the murder of her son Nick after she handed herself into the police following his death in February.

As the trial continues, a nervous Charlie prepares to give evidence, and is supported by his wife Ronnie, who surprises everyone by making an appearance in court.

With emotions running high, Dot's loved ones are all relieved to hear that the missing witness who sold her the drugs still hasn't been found, but the trial soon takes an unexpected turn.

Dot's hearing takes place
Later, as Charlie gives evidence, a distraught Dot becomes unable to cope with what she is hearing and interrupts, causing the proceedings to come to a halt.

After Dot reminds the judge it's her on trial and not Nick, she is reminded that she must remain silent as she has decided not to give evidence.

Knowing that she can still choose to give her side of the story, a brave Dot decides to take to the witness box. However, it soon becomes clear that this was the wrong decision when the prosecution turn Dot's own evidence against her, leaving her future more uncertain than ever.

Everyone sits and listens at Dot's hearing
As the final day of Dot's trial approaches, a worried Charlie and Fatboy come to blows after throwing accusations at each other about why Dot is in the mess she is in.

Charlie then decides to take matters into his own hands by visiting Keeble and telling her that he murdered Nick, but his plan backfires when she quickly calls his bluff.

As Dot's friends and family wait for the verdict, Charlie reminds everyone they need to be strong for Dot. It's not long before they're called into court, but will Dot be found guilty or not guilty of murdering her son?
