Valerie will turn up following the news that her son Dylan is in hospital following a road accident.
Although
Dylan is already on the road to recovery by the time
Valerie arrives, he is still delighted to see her and greets her warmly.

Val is also on hand to offer support to her ex Trevor Royle after he
confides in her over Esther Bloom's decision to keep the baby.
However,
Grace is furious when Trevor lets it slip that Val was at
the hospital, and she later unleashes her anger by furiously drilling
into a wall.
When Grace's reckless actions cause her to receive a
nasty electric shock, she soon finds herself in hospital where she is
upset to witness a tender moment between Trevor, Dylan and Val.
Meanwhile,
Kim Butterfield cancels her plans with Esther when she learns that
Grace is in hospital and later lets herself into Grace's flat. What is
she up to this time?
