Although Ste has recently split from John Paul, Sinead will grow concerned when she believes that they are getting closer again.
When Ste takes baby Hannah to work, John Paul sees that he's struggling and kindly offers to babysit.
However,
Sinead is furious that John Paul is looking after Hannah, and her
cousin Scott Drinkwell has to stop her from revealing her secret crush
on Ste.
Later, as she becomes increasingly convinced that John
Paul wants a reunion with Ste, Sinead tells Scott that she has to tell
Ste the truth about her feelings.
After Sinead takes drastic action to get Ste's attention, a furious Ste tells her that he wishes they had never slept together.
As a huge argument erupts, Sinead takes things a step too far when she makes an insensitive comment about Ste having HIV.
Needing to get away, Ste storms out and soon arranges to meet someone...
