As
everyone reels from Ronnie's arrest and the revelation that Roxy was
the one who reported her, Phil secretly downs a bottle of
champagne before attempting to resolve the situation.
However, Phil is soon forced to change his plans after bumping into his
ex Shirley Carter, who quickly realises that he has been drinking.
Jay Brown also realises that
something isn't right when he later finds Phil drinking in The
Albert. After Jay is unable to prize Phil away from the booze, it
doesn't take Sharon long to track her husband down.
After enlisting Billy and Jay's help in getting Phil home, Sharon later reaches breaking point by locking him in their bedroom.
Determined to have another drink as
he remains locked up the following day, Phil finds a bottle wrapped up
for Christmas and begins to down it.
Sharon
is later startled when she finds the bottle and a drunken Phil lashes
out at her, injuring her ear. As Sharon locks Phil back in the room,
Phil lets rip with some vicious words. Will this be the final straw for
their already troubled marriage?
