Coronation Street - David Platt struggles to cope in the aftermath of Kylie's death.

David is forced to deal with the shocking circumstances surrounding her death.

Audrey and Maria will be left startled when David returns to the salon and insists on taking all his scheduled appointments, and his cheeriness starts to unnerve them.

However, David's facade begins to slip when he sweeps the contents of Kylie's nail bar into a bin liner and he is later moved when the police return her belongings to him, including his blood-stained jacket.

As David's grief intensifies, he directs his anger onto Kylie's friend Gemma when she enquires about the funeral. Accusing Gemma of playing an integral role in Kylie's death, David bans her from attending the send-off and refuses his family's pleas to persuade him otherwise.

When David later allows his son Max to choose the music, food and drink, Gail is horrified, pointing out that a funeral is meant to be a dignified affair.

However, when Max announces he'd like to deliver Kylie's eulogy, there is a poignant breakthrough in David's behaviour and he shares a touching moment with his son.

It appears that David has turned over a new leaf after he tells Gemma that she can attend the funeral after all, but his true intentions become clear when he later confides in Sarah that he is planning to make someone pay for Kylie's death. What does David have planned?
