Maxine is upset when she gets a court date for her custody battle with Patrick Blake, knowing that she can't afford a good solicitor.
When
Darren gets roped in to taking Trevor to a dodgy deal, he is tempted
when the gangster offers him £300 for the job, knowing the money could
help Maxine out significantly.
Later, Maxine goes to the garage
to see Darren who has set up a romantic meal for her. Will the pair
finally reveal their true feelings?

Meanwhile, when Jason Roscoe is left with concerns about his future as
he struggles with his A-Levels, Cindy suggests he gets a job at Daz
Cabs.
When Cindy goes to find Darren at the garage, she is
attacked by a shadowy figure in the dark car park. Following the attack,
Jason is shocked to find Cindy lying lifeless outside the garage and
immediately phones an ambulance.
Once Darren finds out what has
happened, he assumes the assailant must have been after him and is
horrified by the thought that his involvement with Trevor has prompted
Cindy's attack.
As Cindy recovers, Maxine grows jealous of
Darren's overly attentive behaviour towards her and worries that she has
lost him for good. Will Maxine and Darren ever find love?
