Paul hits his lowest ebb after
he is subjected to a brutal beating in prison, having been wrongly
jailed for causing the Lassiters explosion.
Although
Paul can initially rely on fellow inmate Gary Canning for protection
behind bars, he is left to face an angry mob all by himself after Gary
is released.
When
Terese returns from a health retreat after time
away to clear her head, she's shocked to hear that Paul is in hospital
after being attacked.
Despite her belief that Paul caused the explosion, Terese realises that she still cares for him and decides to pay him a visit.
Terese
urges Paul to confess his guilt because she wants to start moving on by
finding a way to forgive him, but she's unprepared for the ferocity of
his response as Paul gives her some harsh home truths.
Paul
points out that while Terese might be ready to move forward, he's stuck
rotting behind bars because of her scheming, and he'll never forgive
or forget what she's done. Will a shaken Terese ever accept that Paul is
innocent?
